EF-1 WEIGHTED FOAM STICK

DESCRIPTION:

EF-1 Weighted Foam Sticks are composed of nonionic surfactants, foam boosting agents and weighting material. They are produced in a solid cylindrical form. The high density of this particular product allows it to fall more rapidly than conventional unweighted foam sticks.

Upon application, the stick will fall to the bottom of the water level, closer to any agitation from flow through gas. Thus, on wells of only marginal agitation from flow through gas, this stick can foam the accumulated fluids more effectively, from the bottom up.

USAGE:

For unloading fluid buildup in gas wells, drop 4 – 6 sticks down the tubing. Shut the well in for 30 minutes – 2 hours. Then open the well back up to a minimal system pressure. A regular maintenance treatment program is recommended. By dropping 1 –3 sticks on a regular basis higher levels of production can be maintained and unnecessary swabbing can be eliminated.

Actual minimum stick usage and shut in times can vary significantly from well to well. We suggest the above mentioned usage rates be used as starting points and then adjusted up or down depending on your wells responsiveness to this product.

HANDLING AND STORAGE:

EF-1 Weighted Foam Sticks are industrial chemicals. All safety and handling on the product container and material safety data sheet must be followed. For detailed safety and disposal information, consult the material safety data sheet. This product should be stored in a cool, dry location.

EF-2 DRILL/SOAP STICK

DESCRIPTION:

EF-2 Drill/Soap Sticks are oil / condensate-dispersible, water-soluble sticks containing surfactants and friction reducers.

USAGE IN DRILLING APPLICATIONS:

EF-2 Drill/Soap Sticks are used to increase the life and efficiency of drill bits.  The unique combination of surfactants and friction reducers increases the effectiveness of the drilling process by preventing the clays from sticking and balling up on the drill bit while drilling. This product will also help prevent the jets on the drill bit from plugging off, allowing the mud and cuttings to return to the surface and improving drill bit penetration. EF-2 Drill/Soap Sticks can improving the efficiency of drilling operations by helping to keep the drill bit clean of debris and increase mud and drill cuttings return to the surface.  Drill bits will perform better and get better penetration  due to the increase in efficiency.

APPLICATION FOR DRILLING:

Drop between 2 to 4 sticks each time a joint of drill stem is added to the drill string in the drilling operation.  As the drilling fluid moves down the drill string the sticks will begin to dissolve, releasing the surfactants and friction reducers into the drilling fluid. The metal surfaces of the drill bit will then have slick coating that will protect it from build up. Each time a new joint is added, adding more sticks will maintain this slick coating. We suggest the above mentioned usage rates be used as starting points and then adjusted up or down depending to find the most economical treating rate for your drilling operation.

USAGE IN FOAMING APPLICATION:

Upon application, the stick will fall to the top of the water level. There they will begin to dissolve, releasing the highly concentrated foaming agents. As the foaming agents are released, agitation from flow-through gas will begin to build a stable foam column. The accumulated fluids can then be removed by opening the well to minimal system pressure. For unloading fluid buildup in gas wells, drop 2 –4 sticks down the tubing.
